Brackets and SuperBrackets

What is a bracket?

A bracket is a three-game mini-tournament. Bowlers compete against opponents in an ABC event (team, doubles, or singles). A blind draw is used to match 8 bowlers. A competitor only has to compete against three other bowlers to win a bracket. You may enter as many times as you wish in regular and classified brackets.

The ABC National Tournament has brackets in regular and classified divisions for team, doubles, and singles as well as senior brackets.

What is a SuperBracket?

A SuperBracket is a nine-game mini-tournament. Scores from a bowler's team, doubles, and singles events are combined to make nine rounds. Bowlers compete against all SuperBracket entrants throughout the tournament. A blind draw at the end of the tournament determines pairings. You compete against nine other bowlers for the $10,000 first prize. Win the first three matches and you will get back your entry fee. Enter up to five times.

The SuperBrackets first place prize in the 2003 nationals was $10,000.00. Second place paid $5000.00.
